We met as two foreigners living in Madrid. We found each other again in Switzerland. Our wedding will be in Mexico. Where will life take us after that, remains a mystery.
What we do know is that four years after that first date on a rooftop in Madrid, we will be celebrating life's surprises surrounded by the people who are part of who we are.

Where to stay
We have chosen one hotel to make your search easier, but there is a wide variety available if this one does not suit you. Hotel Antré Chapultepec is our favorite option because it is where most of our guests will be staying, it is very close to the welcome party venue, and is where the transport to Tequila and the wedding will depart from.
It is located in Colonia Americana, one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Guadalajara and close to most of the cafes, restaurants, and bars that we shared on the "Guide" section.
We recommend booking as soon as possible, as the Guadalajara International Book Fair is also taking place on the wedding weekend, and hotels in the area may have limited availability.

How to get to the wedding venue
We will provide round-trip transportation to the Hacienda Santa Lucía from the Hotel Antré for people who are coming from out of town. Please indicate in your confirmation whether you would like us to include you in the transportation service or if you would prefer to arrange your own transportation.
Dresscode
Formal (long dress or suit and tie) - colors are encouraged!
The ceremony and cocktail reception will be outdoors, while dinner and the party will be in a covered but open space, so we recommend bringing something to keep you warm at night (the temperature usually varies from 70° F to 50° F).
The area where the ceremony and cocktail will be held has uneven ground and grass, so we recommend not wearing very thin heels.

We know that many of you will be traveling a long way to join us, and we want to make the most of our time together. That’s why we’re organizing a trip to the town of Tequila on Thursday, December 3rd, to enjoy together one of the most special, vibrant, and famous places in the state of Jalisco.

Guadalajara, Guadalajara...
Guadalajara is Mexico's second largest city, making it a great destination to explore. From taco stands and high-end restaurants to coffee shops in old historical houses and bars where you can try the best tequilas, Guadalajara has something for everyone.
Here are some of our favorite dining and sightseeing recommendations and a Google Maps list with these and other places worth visiting while you're here.

Historic downtown
Downtown Guadalajara is a walkable area where you can visit the city's historical buildings, such as the cathedral or the Cabañas Cultural Institute, which has some of the city's most famous murals.
You can get an Uber from the hotel to the "Catedral de Guadalajara", and you'll be there in 15 minutes.
We recommend walking from the cathedral towards the Cabañas Cultural Institute; that way, you'll walk by several historical buildings and stands selling local Mexican crafts.
Tlaquepaque
The Tlaquepaque district is renowned for its vibrant art galleries and traditional restaurants. We suggest having lunch at Casa Luna (our favorite!) or any of the other restaurants in our list.
You can take an Uber from the hotel to “El Parián Tlaquepaque” and walk along Calle Independencia, the prettiest street, where our favorite shops and restaurants are located.
Tlaquepaque is about a half-hour drive from the hotel, which is why we recommend visiting on Friday so you'll have plenty of time to explore and enjoy lunch at a relaxed pace.

Things you might want to know
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
The easiest way to get to the hotel is to take a taxi from the airport. After going through immigration, you'll exit through a door, and you'll see several counters with “Taxi” written in bright letters. There you can pay for your taxi by giving the hotel's address, and they'll give you a receipt to hand over right outside where the official taxis are lined up.
How do I get back to the airport?
We recommend calling an Uber from the hotel to the airport. Ubers aren't allowed to pick up passengers at the airport, but they can drop people off, so we recommend taking a taxi to get to the hotel and an Uber to go back to the airport.
How much should I tip?
In restaurants and bars, it is usually customary to leave a tip of between 10% and 15%.
Do I need cash?
Most places accept credit cards, although there may be exceptions (some places do not accept American Express). However, it is not strictly necessary to have cash, but it can be useful in very specific situations, such as if you want to buy a souvenir from a street vendor at a tourist spot or eat at a street market.
What is the wheather like?
The temperature in Guadalajara is usually mild most of the year, including December. During the day, temperatures typically range from 20°- 25° C (68°- 77° F), and at night from 10°- 15° C (50°- 59° F).
We recommend bringing clothes for an average warm day and something light to wear at night in if it gets cooler.
